Kipper ran off to do a poo just before school one day this week...he had his coat and shoes on and I was just unlocking the front door....it was 8.40 so cutting it very fine, he suddenly ran off to doa. Poo, insisted on wiping his bot himself (which he never does!!) and by the time he'd finished had somehow stripped himself stark naked an I had to totally re- dress him!!! We ended up running up the hill and got there at 858!!

Wait till they are older pooh bear, the contrary stuff may change but it still exists E.g. Asking you questions about life , then not want to listen to your answers Saying they are too tired to go to school, but wanting to stay up till all hours Telling you they love pudding but not wanting any of the normal pudding things you offer at table......
AND (age 11)-still wanting a long poo just as you are trying to get out the door............( we last had this happen two days ago) You will just need to " Bear" it when they want to " Pooh". ( sorry...)

...become intensely curious about where babies come from, or feel the need to inform you of some interesting fact about their genitalia in public places.
...decide that they don't like their favourite food. Normally just after you've stocked up on it.
...watch reruns of the same program over and over and over and over and...

After watching poppet do the 'wee wee' jig.
Me: do you need a wee wee? Poppet: no!
She then promptly wets herself.....
This morning it was on our bed! Resulting in me washing the duvet, duvet cover, pillows, pillow cases, bed sheet.......

Do exactly the opposite of what you've just told them not to do with expected outcome
As in don't kick the ball at me because it will go over the security fence and you will lose it
Result, the ball went over the fence and he lost it

Shout? Argue? Bicker? Name call? Interrupt constantly? Defy? Stick fingers in ears and say lalalala? Give you 'the look'? Go on and on and on and on. Breathe?

We had to be very careful how we phrased instructions because she only heard the last few words of the sentence, which meant she would do what we had just asked her not to do For example you say 'don't think of a pink elephant', and you immediately can't help thinking of a pink elephant! Sorry didn't mean to hijack this thread

Yes. Covered that in early bird training! Never say don't run. All they hear is run!! Not easy though continually shouting WALK to a sensory seeking child!!
Particularly when the neighbours hear you bellowing down the street after her.

Leave the long lost and lonely poo in the toilet for mum to find, no loo paper obviously so no washed hands....I know who the phantom poo'er is! Have Slimey yellowy brown scabby teeth as inventing elaborate tooth cleaning avoidance is longer, more boring and frankly you'd spend less energy just doing your damned teeth in the first place!
