Yes, I totally understand this & it was one of the reasons we decided to home educate as I realised quite quickly that dealing with professionals was actually WAY more stressful and depressing than dealing with the behaviours we were having at home (OK, there is probably ample time for that to switch back again), but right now, in a good place due to NOT having to deal with anyone we don't choose too.
I hope you are feeling a bit better today, it is such a battle ALL the time

Yes, I was saying that to DH this morning. We both had a sessions at CAMHS this morning. He was able to totally switch off and listen to the radio in the car home and whilst I wasn't consciously thinking about the meeting my head was full of "fog". I don't know whether it's a male / female thing but I really struggle to wind down after meetings with professionals.

My heart sinks when I see that a phone call is from one of them, let alone a meeting!

I would rather eat my own foot than deal with "professionals".

I have thought about charging them for my time, they after all do these meetings in their work time so are therefore paid...now how much do you think I could get for at least three meetings every six weeks since Oct 2009......as old jellies would say...Maldives here I come.......I haven't even included all the visits from SW, Outreach workders, Police, YOT and the other hairbrainers they want me to work with.

Some meetings leave me exhausted. What stresses me more lately is having the phone ring and seeing "private' on caller display. I've started avoiding those calls - can't take any more stressful news!
