20 weeks ago babybee came home!!
Babybee continues to be so smiley and giggley and snuggley! She is almost 9 months old now and has recently started crawling. She is an absolute chatterbox and loves music and bouncing. She eats anything and everything and sleeps well - although loves to start chatting between 6 and 7 but always greets us in the morning with a big grin! We all adore her!
Littlebee thinks babybee is amazing and is always making her laugh. Everytime we are in the car they play peekaboo and there is a background sound of giggling! She is also always telling babybee 'I love you' and telling us she loves her baby sister.
10 weeks ago I injured my knee. I had surgery 4 weeks ago and today is my fist day since I injured my knee off crutches! It was also the first time I could head out on my own with babybee in so long and she had her first sing and sign class which she loved! She was fascinated by the other babies and loved chatting and waving to them all!
The last 10 weeks have been so so hard but I am looking forward to hopefully enjoying the last 4 months of my adoption leave fully mobile!
Littlebee asked me for a baby brother yesterday! Not sure she is going to get this wish though! I did however joke to the panel members at matching panel I would see them again next year!

As an adopted child you can get 15 hrs a week childcare from approved carers from he term after they are 2. Sqk started in pre-school 5 weeks before we met him (5 mornings a week) - then had rest of autumn term off before starting again in January. Easier in a lot of places round here to get children in in September but I had his name down from when LAC review approved us to start him doing a session a week last November.

hi scaredy-cats children can (but don't have to) start nursery from 2.t you can put names down for private nurseries as early as you want. not sure about how far in advance you have to do it, we were lucky and the lady who runs the nursery we go to is a family friend so we got jumped the queue preschool (nurseries in school) run by the local authorities you have to fill in the online LA submissions forms and check their criteria... im not sure, but I think you get priority places for previously looked after children. squirrel started doing 2 x3 hours when she was 2 1/2 at 3 she started 3x4 1/2 hours now she is nearly 4 (she'll be nearly 5 by the time she starts school)she does 2xfull day and 1 half day her nursery is v small with a 1:3 adult to child ratio, she absolutely loves it and her and her nursery leader has a real soft spot for her (if I could keep her their till she was 18 I'd be delighted;)~) but everything has been done at her pace... we hadlots of settling in visits before I started leaving her there, there is a lot of condition between nursery and home, been allowed to choose her hours and days so that she has rest days in between each full day. and if it wasn't working we had the flexibilty to change. you could start looklng at a few and see what you get a feel for...we got a school nursery place, I visited, I knew immediately it wasn't for her and kept her in her current place.
