It might not be here decision but she can help. If simba or any of the others on the bus are agitated or wound at because of the length of the journey then they're the ones having to pick up the pieces.
Our school has a transport passport scheme. EsEscorts have to report everything to school about behaviour on the bus - school will then take any relevant action.
Are the kids met off the bus?

That's all i I wanted really, a bit of support, the thing with Simba is he is very well behaved, he won't be giving the escort any trouble, he will just sit there, he won't cause a problem at school. but his day has gone from. 7.5 to 9 hours, I don't have a flipping 9 hour work day, he is shattered. The head of the travel bureau admitted to me that first on first off was expected but they have let a contract and it's up to the driver,
I've told him he can shriek , scream and squeal as much as he wants to at the residential in two weeks, Maybe then they'll understand

Maye it makes you feel a bit better that in my case the school says it has nothing to do with them (he gets bullied in the bus), the bus company say they are not responsible either, everyone says it is not good but nobody can do anything. My child is too 2.5 hours on the bus every day as we are fardest away, the journey is 30 km. School transport can be so bad, I am considering other options now, one thing is for sure he will change schools before the new year starts and I will no longer use school transport. But that is my time and money, but the stress for the child is enormous at the moment. Acting out at home also, lovely

That's sounds dreadful Pluto, isnt there an escort to prevent the bullying? our school is about 2 miles away, I don't drive, there is no direct bus route. If I was to take him myself via 2 buses or taxi, with me walking back to work and from work to collect him, it would cost me over £200 a month which I can't afford

No escort and all those lovely kids get on so well at school..... That is as long as there are teachers around...... my oldest has a mobile and videod the bus (just because he had discovered the camera, not to proove anything). Than I saw 4 boys sticking their middle finger up to my youngest and chanting 'Fxxx you, Fxxx you etc'. (you wonder how much the blue eyes/white hair come in here, what he has not obvioously) I observed this class during a party and they are avoiding him, yet teacher says he plays with everyone, gets on. Yes when they run he runs, but they are running away from him every time. He tries and there is interaction but he ends up alone every time, the teacher has no clue and thinks because he smiles everything is oke, I told her this is a learned behaviour but obviously she does not believe me. Nothing special here than, the usual story.

Complaint about school transport not upheld. I had escalated it to my councillors. The head of travel bureau has clearly denied telling me something she told me. No where in the letter does it indicate that there has been any consideration of Simba's well being
