No wonder you two have been so quiet the last two days, you've been getting sloshed on damson gin snd having facials, next you'll be telling us you donned your elsa costumes and were running round the farm yelling Let it Go

No such luck Serrakunda. Moo hates Frozen, too girly for her apparently We've been discussing plans to incorporate her abandoned chicken barn into an extension to her kitchen to create a large kitchen/living room with woodburner and a wall of sliding glass doors onto the garden. Have been advising her on dealing with builders, getting quotes etc in between potty training puppy and avoiding her razor sharp teeth (the puppies, not Moo's ).

Watched the final of the snooker last night. Kermit suggested doing some other things but was very understanding: went off to bed saying something about that she could see how important it was to us. It was a great match! Really exciting.
Kermit was so cute when I went to bed: fast asleep, snuggled up with duvet all wrapped up around her. Shame I couldn't really get in under it to cuddle her, or to extricate enough of the duvet to cover me, so it was a bit of a cold night.

More drawing. Of Kipper sleeping so not totally child free but it was lovely to do for more than one reason.

Up before dawn. Driving off through wisps of fog, gliding through ghostly grey villages. Headlights flickering full to dip, full to dip. The hills that guard the coast disappeared in the blackness, seeing only the stream of lights heading for the city. Down towards the harbour with the night sky cracking to a reluctant grey. Dress in layer after layer, slip my feet into my wellies, grab my kit and head for the boat. Stand there, rod in hand, as the wind and waves slowly build. Tiddler after tiddler pulled to the surface and released to turn again for the bottom. Five fish of eating size filleted and bagged as we fight through the tide to return to port. Head for home, Pink Floyd on the CD player and heat slowly oozing back into my body.

Utter madness Corkwing, but if it floats your boat, go for it. Hope you have thawed out and enjoyed a breakfast of fresh fried fish. Beautifully descriptive post though, (as I read it tucked up in my toasty bed)

Just eaten three butter rich pastry mince pies all to myself. Now feeling like I need a large coffee as it has made me feel a tad queezy. But I did enjoy eating them at the time!!!

However I went for a 6 mile walk with Mr M this morning, saw 2 foxes, primroses, snowdrops and the signs of spring all around, then we had lunch...mine was leak and potato soup with crusty bread...we really enjoyed ourselves, Mr M even had a desert and a bottle of organic cider.......happy days.

No clients this afternoon; Kemit only works mornings; so we went to a garden centre and had a poke around then went for a drink and a cake.

Not today but a few weeks ago I joined a concert band. Once a week I trot off with my music etc. and blast out jolly tunes!

Walked the dog through drifts of gleaming snowdrops whilst enjoying some marvellous sunshine - stood and watched several hares doing their thing as the new wheat is pushing through and turning the fields a welcome fresh green - just bliss! nature!'s delights a very welcome balm.

Went to watch the Shaun the Sheep Movie with Kermit and no kids. Enjoyed it, particularly another adult who was REALLY laughing. Fantastic atmosphere at the end, somehow, when a few of us stayed for the credits to see if there would be a little vignette at the end. Real sense of camaraderie, for some strange reason. The secret clique of adults who love Shaun...

Took to horses to a forest and rode for 7 miles with fab views and company. Big Fiah with niece and carer overdosing on Ice Age and LM at football course with a friend. We are now all at free running. Good end to the day.

Oh man I love this thread. It really gets me thinking what and if I've done it at all. Very good for ;)my mindfulness. So today I was distracted by our neighbours skip...he let me put stuff in and suddenly from one piece of rubbish it was a mass clear out of the shed. It now looks like quite a promising workshop for my banging and cutting projects. It's only taken me two years since moving to almost get it clear. So a great future investment for a shed away from home!

I took the path to the top of the world: Attachment DeletedI saw a red kite, gliding in the breeze at eye level. I heard birds, so high that I couldn't see them, singing. I wached buzzards circling across the sky and wondered how they get home at night. I saw the heat haze rippling off the grass when the sun shone. I looked and looked at the distant landscape, wondering how far I could see and watching splodges of light roll across the vista. I marvelled at the greeness: at the shades and textures and at how hidden the human habitations were. I stared at a fencepost for ages, wondering at the colours, textures and shapes: Attachment DeletedI gazed at the clouds: solid lumps of cauliflower; vague, black, threatening masses; boiling edges; high up wisps; misty veils of rain in the distance. And as I opened the car door on my way back, the hail started. I listened to the rattle on the roof and watched as it bounced on the grass. I saw hailstones melt to water and get crushed as cars sped past. I felt grateful that I had the time and the space to do it. Sometimes I love mindfulness!

Meeting with lovely man at bank. Completely overhauled my finances. Reduced my outgoings dramatically. Can now look to getting my new boiler, the windows sanded and varnished and replacing the dodgy stair carpet over the next few months.
