Well, the children and I had a lovely walk with a friend and her 3 boys. I hadn't seen this friend for ages and we have already set a date or our next walk in a month's time.
I really should get out more (literally!)

I just ran 10k - amazing what a few endorphins can do - and I am runmum after all. Was doing it once a week thinking might try to manage twice. It means getting up super early but I even noticed all the commuters walking past me with their gently wafting freshly perfumed morning smells - ahhhh

What are you like Moo? Surprised we haven't had intro's for puppy. Hope it all goes well today, can't wait to hear about Baa and Sqweeks reaction, not to mention seeing photo's. Think I might have to set up a seperate thread for Moo's animal pics.

Not quite so life-changing, but I ate three scoops of ice cream: white chocolate, caramel, and strawberries and cream.

oooh Moo, is there a way to show pictures on here? New dog pics would be lovely!
We went to Shrimps Godparents today and I sat on a chair and drunk a whole, hot cup of coffee while their teenage daughter played with Shrimp :-)

Well something I've done for me this week (with DH's help!) was resist the temptation to take on 3 guinea pigs!!
Saw an indoor guinea pig cage for £4 in a charity shop. Was thinking of getting it and then getting a couple of little hogs.
While Violet and I were looking at other things, a woman came in with her grown up son and I heard her say how good it would be as theirs was broken and they picked it up. So I said to her that she had just saved me from the temptation to get guinea pigs!! She said...'Oh I have 3 going free to a good home!' SO she told me the story and we exchanged 'phone numbers. BUT DH was the voice of reason! Phew!!
Dash would like guinea pigs and our older DD had 3 at one point. Maybe one day but not now!!
And then (when one door closes another opens) I had a text from my cat fostering 'boss' who said she was bringing me a mother cat and 3 four week old kittens. It did mean I had to clean out a pen pronto but now they are here and I won't be saddled with them potentially for years like the guinea pigs! Only a few weeks and they will have new homes I expect :-)

Awwwww kittens purrfection....
Boys had a kitten each at the beginning of the summer ( gift from grateful farmer friend over-run by farm cats & kittens ) Oh their joy has been overwhelming .... This is better coz you get the good bits & skweezing & then you send them off to new homes??!?... How wonderful.... What colours are they... Hope mummy is doing well ....
Kittens have met puppy.... Both looking really confused.... Buggle jumping along arched & sideways giving it " look at me I'm huge & scarey & fast.... What are you again?? " Very very funny..... Pup just gorgeous floppy & clumsy!?

That's great Pooh Bear!
I did some drawing today, a whole hour and a half worth. That's once a week for 4 or 5 weeks on the trot now. Am so pleased to be back at it.

Went to the cinema with Kermit to watch an adult film a film for adults.
Bad news: it was "Mr. Turner". Note to self: don't go to see films that the critics rave about.

We went to see Mr Turner too! For people who usually end up watching films on DVD we did quite well and went on (I think) the first day it was out. Last Friday night. We had to drive about half and hour for a showing that was about 11pm....late night even for us.
It was a bit slow we thought but well acted by every member of cast and beautiful scenes. 'A series of vignettes' was DH's comment. Also didn't learn much about Mr Turner except he wasn't a great lover :-0
Warning don't take a 12 year old to see it. We thought Violet might like to see it 'educational' and all that not at that time of night though!) so glad we didn't.

I have planned a meal to sit down and eat with hubski. Nachos to start, chilli for mains and new York cheese cake for pud. What's the betting that Shrimp will 'choose' tonight to be unsettled at bedtime?!

Well its not today but tomorrow I am going to local Curves ladies gym. This is made possible by the fact that DD now gets the train on her own from our village to her piano lesson (her idea), thus freeing up the best part of a morning for me. She is ready for a bit more independence too.

Yay Moo beat me to it ........ made it to "Loon Farm" to a fantastic welcome from Baa and Squeak complete with homemade welcome cards and massive gorgeous big smiles (they are adorable and I am in love ) and Moo very kindly treated me to my first ever facial. It was sooooooooooooooo relaxing, I almost fell asleep but was afraid I would snore. Felt sooooooo chilled afterwards I could hardly walk. I can fully see why she is addicted now and would thoroughly recommend it if you need to relax. Have met some of her menagerie of creatures including new cute pup, (with razor sharp teeth) and two beautiful, if shy, snuggly kittens. Have yet to be introduced to the livestock and Moo's namesake "Moo the horse?", (don't ask, it's Moo, bonkers ) although i did see 3 rather humongous white geese when i looked out the bathroom window. They look enormous up close, to a city girl like me at any rate. Will be taking lots of piccies later to upload on the photo thread because if we are to wait for Moo, puppy will, be retired before anyone gets to see her.

Had the most wonderful of surprises yesterday....
We were on our way out to introduce Jmk to some of our cows when I spotted a familiar beautiful handsome face.... It was Andy the bull.... Screeched to a halt clambered out & hollered over the gate.... My handsome boy came wombelling immediately in our direction for a scratch & hello.... Jmk had heart failure for some reason she didn't realise he was as enormousely huge as he is!! Think she had a bit of a shock!? Obviously his picture ( on my avatar ) didn't show him off in all his enormity.... He seems happy in his new home with his new wives xxxx I miss him
Fair brought a tear to my eye to see him xx

Ok, have sampled Moo's famous Damson Gin which I have to say is deeeeellliicccoouuss. Doesn't taste at all like gin, but like serious adult ribena juice with a kick! Yummy! Met Moo's family, mum, bro and Sil and have consumed so much food over the past week I think i've put on about a stone in weight! We are planning a summer farm camp out on Loon Farm.
