Really good if you have any back problems, the extra heat works wonders. I had one a couple of years ago, when I'd been hobbling on a walking stick for 6 weeks, came out a new woman. no stick
I regard it as routine maintenance now

Just been for bday dinner with dh... Child free , no room to manoeuvre buggies on small rustic rickety tables, white linen, no plastic, barely any spillages to report... Lovely

Spent a glorious day at Stowe in Bucks with a picnic basket, dh, the dog and my camera - the water lilies are wonderful this time of year and well worth a trip to see if you can't make it to Monet's garden (much less frenetic too). Utterly recharged!

I seem to be having a week of me time! Two shopping trips, a massage, hairdressers, out Friday and Saturday night, ds away for weekend with grandparents and getting Sunday lunch cooked for when I go and pick him up!!
It really is all or nothing!!

Weekend, without kids, at a 4 star hotel - and the price was less than most of the budget chains in the same area. And it included an all you can eat breakfast buffet, which was truly brilliant! The best scrambled egg that I've ever tasted: incredibly buttery. No need for lunch!
Weather was fantastic - sun, heavy rain and thunder. Beautiful rainbows over the sea - one of them lasted longer than any I've seen in my life. Gentle mist in the valleys on the moors in the evening after the rain. Fantastically dramatic clouds. Went to a craft fair and dodged the showers. Kermit bought a necklace because, despite the bedroom being festooned with the things, there was still a style missing from her life.
Lovely meal on the Friday evening bought with Tesco vouchers. Other meals bought using a gift from friends.
Even managed an hour in the hotel gym, but couldn't fit in a hot stones massage.

I can't think of anyone more deserving of such fabulous scrambled eggs and rainbows.
I had a sausage butty at Starbucks

Not today, but Kermit and I had a week in a cottage in Wales while sister in law looked after the youngest kids. Peace, quiet, relaxation, good food, funny stories... Absolute bliss. Really grateful for the immense generosity of the sister in law and the cottage owners. There ARE some incredible people in this world!

its my `birthday tomorrow, and we were in Asda today, and hubby said i should have a look for a present. Well i know he meant a book, but i saw the most glorious ipad case with built in bluetooth keyboard. I use my ipad a lot ( ds1 accidentally broke my laptop) so leapt on it (not literally) as it was in the sales. i will have to put hubbys, sisters and dads birthday gifts together to pay for it, but its lovely (i am using it right now) it will be well used, and make ipad usage easier. It even has keys for playback of videos!

Well Pingu he wanted you to have something that you actually wanted as opposed to something you needed so think of the pleasure you will get from it every time you use it - well worth the expense.

I am confined to my cell for the night and have just come back from Tesco's with 4 little cartons of wine and a big pack of giant chocolate buttons and i will not be sharing any of them with the tyrant who is downstairs forcing me to retreat to my cell. Wine cartons are now stored in the safe and I have a plastic wine glass hidden in my room/cell for when I fancy a tipple.

I had a lovely brunch with a friend in the sun. Pancakes, crispy bacon and maple syrup. Yummy!
Our toddlers were at nursery and our babies slept. We were actually able to have a proper uninterrupted conversation and a good old catchup!

Went for a long long walk with DH, Monkey Boy and Mouse (in a backpack carrier) (6 hours with lots of snack stops). Beautiful autumnal sunshine, great views of hills, woods and as far as the sea, sparkling in the distance.
And Monkey Boy ran ahead some of the time, so DH and I could escape from his constant, constant chatter!
Bliss!

Planted wallflowers at dusk, and watered them in as the moon started to rise. Then ate the fantastic lasagna cooked by an italian visitor, retrieved from the freezer and carefully reheated with minimum effort.

Gorgeous xxx only a few weeks till I can bring one home....
Should know in about a week which 2 are gone ( breeder & dog owner ) then I can pick our new baby xxx I have managed to keep it from boys.... They are gonna be sooo excited?.. Can't tell them coz they would never be able to control their excitement for another 3 weeks ( let alone 3 months since the mating!!)
My worries about how our old girl would cope are not a prob anymore she is fading fast..... Will have to say goodbye any day.... So so tearful xxx I will not let her suffer... So so awful xx
