Still having transport dispute with CC so took eldest son 25 miles to school but took neighbour too. We then went to beach and spent the day watching the waves, eating chips and drinking endless cappuccinos. We did investigate a potential suicide half way through but he assured us he was in sea for benefit of his legs??? After chatting to us he got out, questioned our religious beliefs then drove off in huge 4 x 4. There was about 10 people surreptitiously watching him for over half an hour but only myself and neighbour actually went to see if he was ok. So an action packed day miles away from adoption.
Mum to AS Big Fish (15) and AS Little Minnow (10) and now a new horse who will let me escape from kids with attitude and the drudgery of disability services!
I had a coffee with some girlfriends (used to go to SW with them) who I hadn't seen for a few months. Sunday afternoon off (usually spent doing housework/cooking). It was lovely. I felt amazingly recharged given that it was just for 2 hours.
Mum to twin girls (16) and a son (13). One of my girls is s20 and the other is in a mental health unit.
Played with my new Tassimo (early birthday pressie from my mum) because nice coffee is a real treat for me :-) expensive but worth it - me time, and I can still have it on fast days! Starlet had a hot choc too so we can play together!
Sat and planned the meals for the week to knock flab off self and DH while providing enough to keep AS growing. Hairy Biker diet food does work, looks like a portion on the plate and actually tastes nice, thank goodness! Sat back with satisfaction as the plan = the food in the fridge I bought in a cold induced haze on yesterday afternoon just before the shop shut. Now, off to eat yesterday's calorie counted tasty leftovers. Sausage casserole on a diet, way hay!
Mum to AS (18) at home and AD (19) staying put in foster care.
joined a gym and started to swim yesterday. no intention of using gym equipment, jus the pool. feeling better already and only done two swims. have worked out I can swim mon-friday every week if I am clever with the child care and use contacts for swimming (assuming BM turns up!). have also done the planning of menus thing too, but not hairy biker one, just a search of all the recipe books I own! couldn't believe how much cheaper the shopping was with a plan!
foster carer for babies and toddlers, and also an adoptive parent.
Yesterday I made a bird box at a carers group I attend. Today I have made a choc cake all for myself. Tomorrow I'm taking Cockle to the cinema but I want to see the film too. Friday I'm going to a taster session of a ladies choir.
Nice man up ladder putting in Sky tv. Might be something to watch on a Saturday night now. Simba doesn't know yet, surprise when he gets home tonight, he's been dropping hints about Disney cartoon for ages
Mum to the 'hansom' Simba, age 16 and 40 now retired teddy bears
